Differentiated Instruction

One of the unique features of the Latin and Greek Roots Challenge is that all students within a school are learning the same roots at the same time. As a result, the program's three levels of materials, which are designed for different aged students, all cover the same roots each week. This provides an opportunity for differentiated instruction within the program.  For instance a student using a Level 2 workbook who is ready for a bit more challenge could be given a Level 3 workbook, but would still be learning about the same roots as the rest of his or her classmates. Likewise, a student who needs slightly easier or more visual material could move down a level.

All materials throughout the Roots Challenge contain similar visual elements for each root to help facilitate this opportunity for differentiated instruction. Notice that the roots and the root visuals are the same on each of the three different levels of Challenge Exercises.
